Events Management

Welcome to my events adventures!

There is a unique magic in what events can do to a crowd. The energy, excitement and atmosphere is what lifted my spirits from as young as I can remember joining my family at numerous food, music, sporting and family events growing up.

Events made life feel full of wonder and let my imagination thrive.

I have followed that passion for events and being a part of something bigger to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Those joyous moments that made life long memories, I now pursue to create for others. To put smiles on peoples faces and ultimately change lives for the better.

Why do I want to share my experiences? Because if I knew someone like me when I was in studying and trying to get into the events industry it would have made finding my way a lot easier!

So here’s to hoping I can inspire some other events professionals or even the odd festival fan that wants to see what happens behind the scenes.

Follow me on my journey of events adventures!

Education

Bachelor of Business (Events Management)

Certificate III in Entertainment and Live Productions

Experience

Over the last ten years, I have worked in roles at numerous events up and down the East Coast. I have had the privilege to work with some incredible teams and companies that put on large scale festivals, conferences, weddings, trade fairs, sporting and networking events.

Events management is a huge passion of mine that I have made sure I am involved with new events each year as I have moved around. I have been attending, volunteering or working at events and experienced a range of responsibilities. From registration, ticketing, administration, research, marketing, information booth, parking, bump in and bump out, looking after vendors to volunteer managing and more.

A more technical side of operations that I have been involved in is managing staff and equipment logistics. By means of large commercial manual vehicles and event buggies to distribute course equipment and the workforce. As well as utilising my Certificate III in Entertainment and Live Productions by setting up staging, lighting and audio equipment.

I have had to manage emergency situations with injured patrons by giving medical attention until the paramedics arrived. As well as isolating dangers to attendees caused by weather or unforeseen circumstances. Some other attributes that have helped me succeed while working events is my hospitality background and past experiences providing high-end customer service.
