Youngcare

I was fortunate to work in the Marketing team at Youngcare in 2015 after a six-month internship. It opened my eyes to all the creative ways you can define a brand in the market. Being a part of their website upgrade was an incredible experience. Not just because we got to work collaboratively with an agency that had puppies, an in-house chef, and a barista grade coffee machine… It taught me that it takes time, effort, and attention to detail to get the design right.

Highlights

  • Designing the website upgrade (collaboratively)
  • Selling out events as a result of successful marketing campaigns
  • Creating engaging video content which attracted new participants to their fundraising challenges
  • Successfully bringing back The Budgie Bolt 5km fun run

Surf Life Saving Queensland

My time later down the track at Surf Life Saving Queensland was spent largely supporting the Marketing Manager, Sponsorship Manager, and Fundraising Manager. On EDMs, eNewsletters, sponsorship proposals, event collateral and more. Balancing a large workload and conflicting priorities had its challenges. Although it taught me that managing the workload, expectations, and time management is important to deliver on competing deadlines.

  • Onboarding thousands of volunteers for events and office-based support
  • Creating winning sponsorship proposals for Courtney Hancock and her partnerships with MG & Amazonia.
