Indy has a background in volunteer and staff management across several event genres, as well as not-for-profit organisations. She has website, marketing and social media management experience. She is a delightful human and a real people person who manages and grows relationships quickly. I have worked with Indiana for the last five years across a spectrum of several different entertainment and event companies. Together we have worked as contractors together, and as of recent I have also several times been managed by and worked very closely with Indiana at several music events and festivals nation wide. Within in the industry I have met a lot of people, and Indiana excels at everything I look for in working with managers. I have had the pleasure of working with Indiana for Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival in Byron, NSW. During the lead up to the event, without having yet met her in person, I found Indiana’s communication paramount and she was able to build rapport with a large workforce (both volunteers and staff) through social media, which I have found a unique skill to master. In 2018, Indy was working as the Staff and Volunteer Assistant for the Splendour in the Grass Festival. It was her first year at the festival, while I had been in my role as Transport Personnel Coordinator for five years. I found Indy to be thoughtful, hardworking, thorough, consciences and level headed, even when time and other pressures are imminent. We worked in close quarters, where her passion and enthusiasm for the job at hand, as well as her compassion and dedication to the team around her, was evident. I had the pleasure of connecting with Indiana as her mentor during Deloitte’s Innovative Challenge for graduates. Indiana is a leader. She is compassionate, driven, knows how to work with a team to bring out the best in everyone, and has the emotional knowledge few poses where she can authentically enroll and support a team from idea to execution. Indiana remains my favourite graduate I mentored due to her inquisitive mind, desire to make sure EVERYONE on her team feel valued, and that their ideas matter. I can’t speak any higher of her. It’s rare that you come across standout talent like Indiana. I’ve had the pleasure know her during our time working together on a project for the Deloitte Innovation Challenge in 2014. I was quite impressed by Indiana’s ability to handle even the toughest situation when under pressure. But above all, she had displayed an amazing public speaking skill in front of the Deloitte’s board of management. That ability often takes years to develop but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to her. Also, no matter how tense a meeting or situation, she made sure everyone left with a smile.
